I wish I had something write about

I do. I really do. But in case you haven't heard, we're moving to Dallas and in a very short period of time. I'm so stressed out that I've been crying at the drop of a hat. There is so much to do. Getting out of the house here, selling our house in Houston (we have tenants living in there now with a lease that's not up until July!), finding/inspecting/closing on a house in Dallas, moving/packing, transportation (quite difficult with 2 little ones!) etc. etc.

And on top of all that my husband thinks we may not be able to get it all done before he has to start his job so I may be facing a month on my own here with the kids while he's working in Dallas and living out of a hotel. My face just broke out some more.

  1. Hope it all turns out smooth and easy! We'll have to have a mini-reunion when you get here! Or maybe a play-date would be better for most of the gals? :)

  2. I'll state the obvious. You are a very capable women and are doing beautifully in motherhood. No this will not be easy but you have the talents to get it done. I've seen you in action and completely believe in you.

    I'm here to help.

  3. Ditch Miami and come stay with us. Jason can live in his hotel and you can have my spare rooms until you find a house. But...you would have to stay in the dreaded Rockwall. AHHHH!

  4. Will his company help at all with the move? That is what happened to us when we left Nebraska for Cincinnati, and what we chose to do was just all move into a hotel together until our house sold and we found one here...but that wouldn't have been possible without complete support from Luke's employer. But, if they are the ones requesting the move, they should be more than willing to offer to help, say...like...buying your house if it doesn't sell in a timely mannor?
There is no way I could have stayed behind alone with 2 kids, so this was a life saver for me...even though living in a hotel for 3 months was sort of like living in hell...Just remember, the most important thing is your family...so just do what you can do!

  5. The company will be helping with the move...the only problem is my husband doesn't have time to deal with a lot of it. So it's up to me to take care of stuff. He's going to be gone out of the country and all over the place before we move. So, they tell him something and by the time it gets to me I just have to figure it all out.
They will buy our house BUT we have tenants and they have a signed lease and there is no clause about giving them notice to vacate. It got left out (which I am furious about but I left it up to him and he forgot to put it in there!!!)....so we have to buy them out of their lease...or wait until it runs out and put it on the market ourselves. They dont have the money to buy it from us.

I'm used to being home alone with the kids...sadly. So doing it for a month wouldn't be awful, just tiring.

Anne-I would love to come stay with you but can you imagine 3 toddlers in your NEW house. My kids would destroy everything.
